TESTEMONIALS - NEUROPATHY
“I am a Type II Diabetic and as a result I have neuropathy in my feet and legs: lack of sensitivity in the feet, which affects balance. Also a recent hip operation has left me with weak hip muscles. As a result my doctor referred me to the Beyond Physical Therapy center for help in overcoming these disabilities. For treatment on the strengthening of hip muscles I laid on one of their exercise tables with one leg suspended from an overhead cable and weights suspended from another cable attached to the leg to apply resistance as I moved my leg to the side.
Their use of infrared Anodyne treatment on my feet and legs, followed by a hot then cold water foot bath, improved the sensitivity in my feet. Although I didn’t achieve the complete recovery of the sensitivity in my feet, the overall improvement gave me the ability to feel the pressure of the floor on my feet and to stand without holding onto a support.
The two principal owners and therapists, Andrew Cieslik and Tomasz Grass, and their staff have exceptional personalities. They are well qualified and have unique equipment for almost any therapeutic need. After my therapy experiences over the last four years at different therapy centers, I found Beyond Physical Therapy to go truly “beyond” the standard of care and offer the most complete treatment of any other therapy care.”

“Before I came to Beyond Physical Therapy it was ‘Abandon all hope,’ and only pain pills will work! Now, after my treatments I don’t think of pain pills. My neuropathy and fibro are tolerable. This therapy has truly gone beyond all my hopes and dreams. Thank you Dr. Ritchey for suggesting Beyond Physical Therapy. They truly are ‘beyond my wildest dreams!’ Thank you, thank you! God bless! May you continue to do what you do so well!”

“When I started this therapy I had little feeling in one foot and none in the other foot. Now after the new style of therapy, I have regained feeling in both feet and legs. The style of new physical therapy has given me new hope for a better future. They are very attentive and helpful. They are always treating everyone like family members. My legs and feet are a lot stronger than they have been in the last 5 years or longer.”

“When I first started Anodyne Therapy on my feet, I was very skeptical of it. I have neuropathy in my feet. They were so numb; they were constantly throbbing and hurting. I hadn’t had any feeling in them for years. Being a Diabetic, I was terrified of the thought of losing my feet.
My feet are so much better now. They have gone from Borderline Loss of Protective Sensation and Deep Pressure Sensation (5-6 pain level) to Normal Sensation (1-2 pain level). I owe my recovery to the Anodyne Therapy treatments. But most of all, the care and concern of the staff at Beyond Physical Therapy has made my stay worthwhile. I highly recommend this group to anyone who is serious about achieving their therapy goals.”

“The therapists at Beyond Physical Therapy were the best that have ever worked on me. There was no pain involved in their treatments. I no longer have pain and can walk again since they have finished. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who needs physical therapy.”

“My foot doctor sent me to Beyond Physical Therapy because “My feet hurt for several years. Sometimes they were cold; sometimes they were
hot. They would tingle, burn, and cramp. They would only feel better when I rested. Dr. Ritchey wanted me to try Beyond Physical Therapy. They have improved my condition considerably. I’ll probably be back within a year, but I feel pretty good for right now.”

“Several years ago, after prolonged walking or standing, I experienced a burning, painful sensation in my feet. Slowly the pain became sharper and more frequent. Tests were conducted at a local hospital, at the Vanderbilt Clinic, and the Mayo Clinic. The diagnosis from each was: ‘non-diabetic neuropathy caused by an unknown toxin.’
The costs and side effects from the drugs were awful. My wife heard a radio advertisement about Anodyne treatment; so, I drove to Maryville three times a week to receive such treatment given by Tomasz Grass. After two months I was able to enjoy a two mile walk! After being off the treatment for a year, the pain returned and no ‘trial medication’ was helpful. I searched and located Tomasz Grass here in Knoxville at Beyond Physical Therapy. After a month of treatment the pain has been eased; the spread of the neuropathy seems to have halted; and I am pursuing the possibility of buying an Anodyne machine to treat myself at home-under the professional and caring supervision of Tomasz and his partner Andrew!”

“I have peripheral neuropathy and have had much pain in my feet when walking, etc. After my first few visits with the Anodyne Therapy, I could tell an immediate difference in how my feet felt when walking and getting about. I was able to walk longer distances than I had before and had more feeling in my toes, which made walking easier. I believe working in the cages, doing the Gazelle, and riding the bike helped with my overall strength. I would strongly advise anyone with peripheral neuropathy to give Andrew and Tomasz a try and see how much they can help.”

“I have waited a little while to write this letter to make sure this treatment was going to work for my feet. I am very happy to say that I am glad that Dr. Kendale Ritchey sent me to Beyond Physical Therapy for my foot Diabetic neuropathy. After the first treatment, I had a good feeling that this treatment might help me. After 18 treatments it has made a world of difference. Before I went, it hurt to walk and now I am walking a lot better. I can also stand on my feet longer now. The Anodyne Therapy system increased my circulation and reduced my pain. The atmosphere at Beyond Physical Therapy is great. The therapists were very friendly, but also very professional and dedicated to improve your quality of life. During my treatments, I met many people taking various types of physical therapy at the same time I was there.
I tell a lot of people about the type of therapy I had, but I get a puzzled look when I mention the cage. I enjoy explaining the treatment and letting them know there is help out there for people with foot neuropathy.”

“When I first started BPT, I was skeptical as to how the treatment was going to help my neuropathy. After only two weeks I had improved in 13 out of 18 [areas]. After four weeks, again I improved 12 out of 18 [areas]. I feel the therapists really know their skills. They truly care about helping people recover. It was a tough six weeks. The therapy was not hard but the drive was exhausting (about 150 miles). If I ever need physical therapy again I would definitely use BPT. They are the ones who made the hard work more enjoyable and helped me accomplish my goals. Thanks to Andrew, Tomasz, and Johnny. You truly are the best! Thanks to the office staff, who really care also!”

“Before coming to Beyond Physical Therapy, I thought the next thing for me was a wheelchair. I had a terrible time walking and I was afraid I would fall and break a hip. My family doctor said that I had neuropathy and sent me to Beyond Physical Therapy. Through exercises (three machines, weight bearing, hot/cold water contrast baths, Anodyne, foot massage). Now I can walk without fear of falling. The workers at BPT are professionals at their work- friendly, patient, caring, and courteous. This has been a very happy enjoyable experience for me. A great chapter added to my life.”

“When Dr. Ritchey sent me to Beyond Physical Therapy, I was having much pain and discomfort in my feet and had difficulty walking at times. I was very unsure that anything would give me relief. Feeling sensations in my feet were very weak. Andrew, my therapist, explained the therapy methods which made me feel more at ease. The treatment for neuropathy has greatly improved the feeling in my feet and I can walk more normally. The caring atmosphere at Beyond Physical Therapy makes therapy more enjoyable. All the staff makes every effort to make the sessions pleasant for the patient and family who might accompany them. My wife and I both recommend Beyond Physical Therapy to anyone who is in need of help.”
